Hello,
Just a little letter from us to welcome you to Design Junction Winchester. Design Junction was a little dream thought up by us whilst we were studying at University of Southampton. We found that in Winchester there was a huge gap in the market for creativity and we wanted to build a welcoming community where creative’s can learn together and thrive outside of an educational establishment. Back in 2019 we began Winchester Life Drawing Club where we met many wonderful people who connected us to the thriving creative culture within Winchester. Fast forward to 2021 and we were lucky enough (and persistent enough) to be given the opportunity to open our own venue thanks to the help of Winchester City Council. With Jake graduating with a BA in Fine Art and Amy graduating with a BA in Textile (Knitwear) Design, we put our heads together and came up with a concept that would boost the local area and bring an original concept to the centre of Winchester. We hate to the be gatekeepers of creativity so teaching skills we have learnt along our artistic path is what makes us thrive. We believe that art should be shared and experienced together without breaking the bank, that’s why we offer creative classes that everyone can enjoy for a fair price. Design Junction is always adapting and evolving like any small business. In the future we look forward to offering a whole range of new quirky crafts for you all to enjoy. We are based in Kings Walk, just opposite Primark, which is set to be the new creative quarter of Winchester.
