What is tufting?
Tufting is a time-honoured craft that has been around for generations, but it’s recently been transformed by modern technology. At our workshops, you’ll get hands-on experience using a tufting machine—a fascinating tool that allows you to create your own stunning rugs with ease.
What’s really exciting is how tufting blends traditional crafting methods with today’s innovative technology. It opens up a world of creativity, allowing you to experiment and express your personal style in a whole new way. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or a complete beginner, our workshops offer a fun and welcoming environment to explore this unique art form.
So, what exactly is tufting?
Imagine shooting colourful yarn into a specially woven fabric to create delightful, fluffy designs. It’s like painting with texture! While the tufting machine might look a bit intimidating at first, don’t worry! With a little guidance on how to hold it and the right amount of pressure, you’ll be amazed at the beautiful pieces you can create.
